Who we are
This website is run by the couple for their wedding. We are responsible for the personal information you give us here (under UK GDPR we are the “data controllers”).
What we collect and why
- Your RSVP: who in your party is coming, meal choices, song requests and any notes you send us. We use this to plan the day.
- Your name and address: so we can post your invitation and thank-you card.
- Your email address: linked to your invitation so you can sign in to it, and used to send you sign-in links and a copy of your reply. You can change it yourself under “Your email” in your invitation.
- Dietary and access needs: these can be health information, so we only share them with the caterer and venue where needed, and only the couple and our planner can see them.
- Planner accounts: name and email address for family and friends helping us plan, so we can send sign-in links.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies: one that remembers which invitation you signed in to (so it stays open when you come back, for up to 90 days), a sign-in cookie for the planning area, and a security cookie for forms. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Choosing “Sign out” on your invitation removes its cookie.
Who we share it with
Our hosting and storage providers (Hetzner in Germany, Cloudflare R2) and our email provider, only so this site can work. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We delete guests’ personal details within six months after the wedding, apart from what we need to send thank-you cards.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time by contacting us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
